Wheatstone’s new L-12 radio console is built upon the work of the L-8 and LX-24. It is a low-profile IP control surface that interfaces with the WheatNet-IP network.
The L-12 features 12 assignable hot-swappable fader modules, four stereo busses along with three LED meters and a digital readout on the meter bridge. It also offers preset memory and a headphone amp.
Wheatstone also recently announced AES67-compatibility with its B3 Blade I/O module. The B3 has also added embedded emergency audio storage and a multiband processor.
The company is also showing a new controller app for the WheatNet-IP. According to a release the app has “widgets such as faders, meters, labels, buttons, clocks and timers for creating virtual control panels, quick-access buttons and other customized studio control from a PC or PC touchscreen.”
These will be featured at next month’s IBC2014 convention in Amsterdam.
