Magix is busy these days. Hot on the heels of a release for its Sound Forge DAW platform comes this new whole number release for its Sequoia DAW platform.
Sequoia is Magix’s top-of-the-line multiapplication editing, mixing and sound production software. Sequoia 14 features a large number of workflow improvements but the real gem is the inclusion of the SpectraLayers Pro 4 audio restoration suite, obtained in Magix’s acquisition of several Sony Creative Software properties.
Another improvement Magix points at is compatibility with Pro Tools’ S6 controllers and Avid’s EUCON-based iOS app. Also new is an audio-to-MIDI converter. An additional freebie is zplane’s élastique V3 time-stretching algorithm.
The new install price is $2,975 with an upgrade from Sequoia 13 at$1,095 and Sequoia 8–12 going for $1,795..
