Close to celebrating its first birthday, the Neumann TLM 67 microphone snagged a “mipa” award at the recent Musikmesse show in Frankfurt, Germany.
The TLM 67 won in the Studio Microphone category. The TLM 67, derived from the U 67, is a transformerless, multipattern condenser microphone utilizing the K 67 capsule.
Neumann President of Marketing/Sales Wolfgang Fraissinet said: “We are particularly pleased with this mipa. It demonstrates that with the TLM 67 we have succeeded in creating an outstanding synthesis of tradition and innovation.”
The 2009 annual mipas — for Muskimesse International Press Awards — were the tenth given at the show. More than 40 categories were awarded and some 120 nominees were considered.
