Visualizing the AM Class A Stations in the U.S. as of 2026

We plot each of the 73 signals courtesy of RadioLand

Our Tuesday Trivia question on Nov. 3 in our Radio World SmartBrief email newsletter asked readers a simple question: How many Class A AM stations, the “clear-channel signals” or at least as they were one time known, are licensed in the U.S. as of November 2026?

The answer is 73. Below is a map where you can view the locations of each signal. Below the map is a state-by-state listing of each station.

The data is courtesy of my RadioLand app project. And a reminder, if you’re not subscribing to our SmartBrief, you’re missing out!
