Broadcast Radio has announced a new partnership with the music service Promo Only.
The broadcast software company said the integration brings access to newly released tracks directly into its Myriad Playout system. Stations with a Promo Only subscription will be able to browse, preview and download music releases from within Myriad.
The company said in a release that the feature will be included in the upcoming Myriad Playout and Automation version 6.9 release, which will enter beta testing in the first half of April.
Through the integration, Promo Only subscribers can enter their credentials inside Myriad and access a “Promo Only Online” button within the import wizard, which opens a list of available tracks to download.
Users can preview songs, filter by genre or mix type, and see which tracks have already been downloaded. Multiple tracks can be selected and imported in an operation.
Once the tracks are selected, Myriad handles the import process. Audio files are downloaded and prepared for broadcast with metadata and album artwork applied, and any silence is removed from the start of the audio.
Myriad also normalizes audio levels according to station presets. The Promo Only tracks are then added to the Myriad library for playback and scheduling.
Promo Only provides radio stations with a subscription service that delivers newly released music, including edits such as clean radio versions and extended mixes.
