Lawo has introduced HOME 4.0, the latest version of its IP infrastructure management platform.
This version provides architectural improvements, a streamlined licensing model and more flexibility, the company said.
“HOME is Lawo’s IP-native platform that connects, manages and secures all HOME-native devices from Lawo and other vendors as well as NMOS devices within your infrastructure, on-premises or in the cloud.”
It enables centralized configuration and routing, parameter control and integration of IP-based workflows.
Lawo also introduced HOME Passes. A pass will be required for each actively managed device or app in HOME’s inventory.
The passes replace all previous core licenses. Lawo said they offer several advantages.
“Device management costs scale automatically with the size of your setup, with no fee due for HOME itself. Fewer devices mean lower costs. As your enterprise grows, more HOME Passes can be acquired for third-party and NMOS devices that are added to the HOME environment.”
Passes are available on a permanent or Lawo Flex Subscription credit basis. The latter are recommended for workflows with a variable number of devices.
HOME 4.0 software is available now. Newly purchased devices and apps running HOME 4.0 or higher include the required HOME Passes, facilitating onboarding. An upgrade plan for existing HOME users is available.
