RFI Deploys Ferncast SIP Services

Radio France International now has the largest installation of the service

From the Who’s Buying What page: Radio France International is using Ferncast SIP Servers for contribution and distribution over IP, supporting 250 SIP addresses and possible end points.

The supplier said the service has been running since early January and is still being expanded.

“These SIP servers are set up on-site and include power user features like user-managed account administration and the novel Active Phonebook,” Ferncast said in a press release.

“This is now the biggest installation of Ferncast SIP Services, even before the one at the European Broadcasting Union, and the first cooperation in France between Ferncast, Radio France and its French distributor Eurocom.”

RFI is a French news and current affairs public radio station. It is broadcast on 156 FM frequencies, via medium and shortwave relays, on 30 satellite signals and on the internet and dedicated apps.
