Wheatstone Corp. will feature its new L-8 digital audio IP console at the IBC show.
Targeting newsrooms and voice booths, the L-8 surface is part of the WheatNet-IP Intelligent Network and a cousin to the company’s LX-24 on-air control surface, introduced last year. The L-8 is a low profile, tabletop IP control surface that offers assignable sources to any fader and with hot-swappable individual fader modules.
Also new since last IBC is the LIO-48, a high-density logic Blade for the WheatNet-IP Intelligent Network that can handle conditional logic functions needed for busy talk studios or other applications requiring complex or additional logic control.
The LIO-48 provides 48 universal logic I/O ports, each individually configurable, for turning devices on or off by time or event, for automatically adjusting the audio processing settings when a certain mic turns on, and for any other logic control needed in today’s studio operations.
Wheatstone says the WheatNet-IP Intelligent Network is “the only Gigabit AoIP system with logic routing and distributed networking for true interoperability across the studio network.” The company promises a variety of IP consoles, network accessories and other audio over IP technology to show at IBC.
