Wireworks likes the innovative Neutrik convertCON connector that first appeared at the convention last year (and earned a Radio World “Cool Stuff” Award), so now the manufacturer of audio/video cabling systems and custom panels has introduced BG Cable Assemblies that feature Wireworks flexible MusiLUX microphone cable or AES/EBU digital cable teamed with the convertCON connector.
The new BG Cable Assemblies can be used in both microphone- and line-level applications and are suitable for sound engineers, system designers and sound techs who require the ability to connect a variety of gear without the hassle of worrying about XLR connector gender issues.
Neutrik’s convertCON is a three-pin male and female cable connector in a single housing; by simply sliding the housing back and forth, convertCON is transformed from a male to female connector.
Wireworks BG Cable Assemblies are available in four configurations: XLR male to convertCON; XLR female to convertCON; convertCON to convertCON; and quarter-inch TRS to convertCON. The cable assemblies are offered in a variety of standard lengths with custom lengths available.
Wireworks MusiLUX is promoted for its sonic performannce and microphone cable flexibility. The flexible PVC satin finish outer jacket is available in black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey and white. BG Assemblies are also available with Wireworks 110 ohm AES/EBU-compliant transmission cable for use in digital applications.
