MUNICH � On June 1, the Media Council of the Bavarian State Center for New Media approved the simulcast distribution of the�Franconian local radio stations.�This means that in the north of Bavaria, a total of 14 local FM programs will also be distributed via DAB+ on the networks found on channels 10A, 8C and 10B.�This is already the case for Middle Franconia with�Radio 8, Radio Galaxy from Ansbach,�Radio Charivari from W�rzburg,�radio gong from W�rzburg�and�Radio Primaton � these stations are already broadcasting in this simulcast mode. This change represents the first step in the cooperation between Bayerischer Rundfunk and BLM for the DAB networks in Bavaria, according to blmplus.de.
In the south of Bavaria, the DAB programs�Rockantenne,�Absolut HOT�and�Kultradio�will change from the Bavarian DAB network 10D to the networks Oberpfalz-Niederbayern 12D and Oberbayern-Schwaben 10A by the end of the month.
The regional DAB network Oberpfalz-Niederbayern is to be divided into two independent networks for the Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavaria from mid-2018.�Each of these DAB networks is to run six regional radio programs, mostly in simulcast mode.
