From the Radio World “Who’s Buying What” page: In southeastern Poland, the recently modernized Starachowice Municipal Stadium is using the Olympia 3 commentary system from AEQ to cover its sporting events.
The stadium’s modernization has been carried out under the name “Stadion na STArt.” A release described it as an architectural and technological transformation. It has a capacity of approximately 2,000. The total cost of the project was approximately $9 million USD, which includes construction works, infrastructure and technical equipment.
The renovation included a six-lane athletics track, new natural grass and an additional field with an artificial surface, as well as new lighting and a sound system that provides coverage throughout the venue.

Starachowice, originally constructed in the late 1950s, held a reopening ceremony on June 1 with a match between the Polish Star soccer team and the Starachowice Old Boys team, narrated by commentator Dariusz Szpakowski.

Polish integrator Tommex coordinated the project and is AEQ’s local partner. It said it used equipment from RCF, Bosch and Yamaha.
AEQ said its Olympia 3 was designed for sports broadcasting, from large stadium events across multiple venues, to more modest installations where it can operate autonomously or integrated into an intercom system. Control and intercom software can be integrated that allows remote assistance to commentators without the need for additional hardware.

The Olympia 3 has four solid-state ID message memories and a tone generator that is assignable to any output bus. Its integrated processors have equalization, filtering and automix functions.
AEQ said its involvement in the stadium modernization reinforced its commitment to “technological excellence” in international sports environments.
