ZURICH, Switzerland�Barix has announced that it has become a Wowza Media Systems Tech Alliance partner. This non-exclusive partnership provides an interoperable solution for live and on-demand audio streaming, reportedly simplifying audio over IP ecosystem for online content delivery.

The interoperable platform is a combination of Barix�s Instreamer IP audio encoder and Wowza�s Streaming Engine media server software. The Streaming Engine transports real-time input streams from the Instreamer to support live radio streams, on-demand podcast and other audio content.

The companies say that the main focus of their partnership is to support online and mobile delivery to customers, but the collaboration can also support other networked audio transport requirements for broadcast.

David Stubenvoll, CEO and co-founder of Wowza Media Systems, was quoted in the announcement saying the company tries to help customers �establish reliable end-to-end systems for delivery of broadcast-quality audio to multiple locations, in many formats, and over varied transport architectures and distribution networks.�

Both companies will discuss the new partnership and demonstrate the integration at the 2016 NAB Show.
