Digital Radio Mondiale Attends BES

Will showcase Emergency Warning Functionality, in-car DRM solutions

The Digital Radio Mondiale Consortium will be present at the at the 21st International Broadcasting Engineering Society of India conference and exhibition, held in New Delhi, India, Jan. 15–17.

During the event, DRM members and partners, including Ampegon, Analog Devices, Fraunhofer IIS, Nautel, NXP, Radio Haugaland, RFmondial and Visteon, will contribute to the conference program.

Topics on tap include the revitalization of radio, DRM-the digital future of FM, cost-saving implementation of digital radio, broadcast meets broadband and industry implementation of DRM.

At BES, DRM, exhibiting at the Nautel stand (62-64), will also highlight the Emergency Warning Functionality (EWF) tutorial and a demo that will include sender and receivers.

Visitors will also learn more about the in-car Visteon digital radio DRM solution designed specifically for the India automotive market. Visteon will show its “Open Air” platform, which comprises features such as data services (e.g. Journaline), audio services (music and speech) in more than one language in parallel.
