Kronforst, Kernan Honored; Scholarships Announced

Scholarship winners will be introduced at a luncheon at the 2002 Conclave “Radio Rising” conference next week in Minneapolis.
The luncheon will also honor educators Mike Kronforst of Brown College and Dick Kernan of Specs Howard, recipients of the Rockwell Award.
The Conclave Learning Conference gives out approximately $45,000 worth of scholarships each year. It announced these winners for 2002:
The Dennis Becker Memorial Scholarship to Brown College in Minneapolis goes to Kenneth Leiviska of Biwabik, Minn.
The Bill Gavin Memorial Scholarship to Specs Howard School of Communications Arts in Detroit goes to Laura Marie Frost of Saginaw, Mich.
The Musictech College Scholarship in St. Paul goes to Janine Quaile of Spring Valley, Minn.
Doug Lee Memorial Scholarships were given to Erin Stone of Barrien Springs, Mich., attending Central Michigan University; Randy A. Carlisle of Marquette, Mich., to Northern Michigan University; and Brendan O’Neill of East Lansing, Mich., to Michigan State. Info: www.theconclave.com.
