Bloodworth to Lead iHeart’s Midsouth Area

Now has oversight for 58 stations

Headshot of Ronnie BloodworthiHeartMedia named Ronnie Bloodworth as area president of a newly created Midsouth Area, which covers Alabama, Mississippi and Memphis.

The region includes 58 company stations.

“As area president of the Midsouth area, he will add oversight to his portfolio of stations and be responsible for all operations across the Birmingham, Gadsden, Huntsville, Montgomery and Tuscaloosa markets,”  the company stated in the announcement. He succeeds Ray Quinn, who retired.

“Bloodworth will also continue to oversee the Biloxi, Hattiesburg, Jackson, Laurel, Memphis, Mobile, Pensacola and Tupelo.”

He reports to Multi-Platform Group Division President Shosh Abromovich.

Bloodworth  joined iHeartMedia in 1998. He oversaw sales in Mobile, Ala., for 15 years before becoming the market president for Mobile, Biloxi and Pensacola, and he is  on the board of the Alabama Broadcasters Association.
