DHD Plans Mixing Console Release

Company teases third-generation console ahead of IBC

DHD.audio is teasing the introduction of a third-generation audio console at IBC2026.

In a press release it quoted Managing Director Marc Herrmann saying that convention headlines often are dominated by the transition from “dedicated hardware to generic-platform software and from studio-centric to cloud-linked production, as well as the adoption of new signal formats, file formats and transmission standards.”

But, Hermann said, “The grassroots reality is the opposite: 24/7 operation, shrinking budgets and 15-year investment cycles.”

He said DHD’s new offering is “optimized to support the evolution in production workflows exemplified by the EBU’s Dynamic Media Facility initiative.”

DHD said the design and development approach centers on modular audio production consoles networked to modular processing cores. “Modules can be added to match new or expanded workflow, consoles can be configured to support new tasks, and cores can be exchanged to deliver higher signal processing capacity.”
