Broadcast Electronics is now offering a redesigned, multi-platform layout in its AudioVault playout software.

BE is calling the updated user experience option AV-xI. It is intended to let stations customize screen offerings and workflow in AudioVault, supporting up to 18 compatible widgets. It’s free for existing stations and users.

Scalable docking positions allow playback slots to be placed on top of or below a deck.

“Or if you can’t decide, both,” BE said.

In a multi-platform environment, BE said that AV-xI is capable of handling playback engines for streams, HD channels or additional stations altogether on the same workstation. This also allows multiple stations to be administered from the same playback interface, suitable for voicetracking.

The new layout has a built-in browser, which allows for access to content such as weather, news and artist information. It is also capable of opening web applications like transmitter control or an audio interface from a remote broadcast site.

BE also lauded the redesigned user interface in AV-xI, which it said is intended to take advantage of both high-resolution displays and low-cost screens.

The updated AV-xI experience also comes standard for new AudioVault users.
