JVC Intros Three Navigation Receivers with HD Radio Traffic Info

Jan 17, 2013 11:12 AM, By Doug Irwin, CPBE DRB

Jan 17, 2013 – JVC has introduced three new in-dash car navigation receivers for 2013: the KW-NT310; the KW-NT510HDT and the KW-NT810HDT.

The KW-NT310 is a navigation receiver also featuring a DVD/CD player as well as USB/SD capability. A 6.1″ touch panel makes up the navigation display. MSRP is $1,000.

The KW-NT510HDT is also a navigation receiver sporting the 6.1 inch LCD monitor. It includes audio and data tuners and responds to HD radio Active Alerts. A free lifetime subscription to Clear Channel’s Total Traffic network is included, which provides news, sports, weather and of course traffic information, all via the CCM+E’s HD radio network. MSRP is $1,100.

The KW-NT810HDT is the top of the line, having the same features as the other two navigation receivers, except that it comes with a 7 inch motorized faceplate. Like the 510HDT, it comes with a lifetime subscription to the TTN network. MSRP is $1,300.

All three devices also come with NaviBridge, which connects via USB for the iPhone version of the app, and via Bluetooth for the Android version. These apps allow the user to search for particular locations (say a restaurant) and then transfer the coordinates in to the navigation receiver. It then provides turn by turn directions for reaching that particular location.
