Premiere Networks will syndicate The Bobby Bones Show on country format radio stations nationwide. The program, which is transitioning from a contemporary hit radio format, will debut on Nashville’s The WSIX(FM) Feb. 18 and will air in the Monday through Friday, 5–10 a.m. CT timeslot, as well as the station’s simulcast on SiriusXM channel 57.
On Feb. 25 the show will launch nationwide on the following stations: KSD(FM) in St. Louis, Mo.; KTGX(FM) in Tulsa, Okla.; KASE(FM) in Austin, Texas; WCKT(FM) in Ft. Myers, Fla.; KYKR(FM) in Beaumont, Texas; WTXT(FM) in Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and WOBB(FM) in Albany, Ga.; in addition to being available through iHeart Radio.
Bones will also host “Country Top 30 with Bobby Bones,” a four-hour weekend music program, beginning nationwide March 2. Bones and his sidekicks Lunchbox and Amy will showcase the top songs of the genre, in addition to interviewing the artists. The show will be available for air Saturday or Sunday between 6 a.m. and midnight local time.
“When we created The Bobby Bones Show back in 2002, we wanted to give listeners a fun, real and entertaining morning show,” Bones said. “More than 10 years later, that’s what continues to drive us every day. Moving to a country format is an amazing opportunity to expand our program to a new audience, and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the connection between the artists, music and fans that makes the country music industry so unique. Nashville, here we come!”
After graduating from Henderson State, where he was first involved in radio, Bones was hired by KQAR(FM) in Little Rock, Ark., in 2002, where he debuted The Bobby Bones Night Show.
In 2003, Bones and his show moved to Austin, where he began hosting it Monday through Friday from 5–10 a.m. CT on KHFI(FM), and he was joined on-air by sidekicks Lunchbox and Amy.
Bobby Bones Show was picked up by Premiere Networks in 2011 and was nationally syndicated on CHR radio until February 2013.
