Entercom Communications named Dan Pregnar director of engineering of its four stations in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pa.
They are WDMT(FM), WGGY(FM), WILK(FM) and WKRZ(FM). He assumes the duties of Lamar Smith, who was recently promoted to director of egineering/chief engineer for the company’s Austin, Texas cluster.
A 25-year radio engineering veteran, Pregnar joined Entercom in 2001 as chief operator in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton market. Since then he has spearheaded several engineering projects, most recently the HD upgrade of the four Wilkes-Barre/Scranton FMs.
Prior to his role at Entercom, Pregnar served as chief operator for a local, Pennsylvania-based radio group.
Entercom also appointed Ryan Flynn vice president/general manager in the market. Flynn began his radio career at Entercom Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 1998 as an account executive. Since that time, he has served in various sales and sales management roles, most recently as director of sales.
