Program for the 2016 Digital Radio Summit Released

Will be held at the European Broadcasting Union meeting Feb. 10

GENEVA�The program for the 2016 Digital Radio Summit, to be held at the European Broadcasting Union meeting Feb. 10 in Geneva, has been published.� Here are the scheduled speakers and subjects to be presented:

  • � � � ��Alexander Erk (IRT) will show a new app-based approach for home radio devices
  • � � � ��Ron Schiffelers (NXP) looks at digital connected radio in the car
  • � � � ��The EBU report from the Media Intelligence Service, �Surfing the digital radio wave across Europe� will be highlighted
  • � � � ��Michael Hill (Radioplayer UK) will present new research related to radio in the car
  • � � � ��Norwegian Broadcasters will explain the digital switchover that is planned �there in 2017
  • � � � ��Nick Piggott (RadioDNS) will provide delegates with an overview of �Everything you need to know, but were afraid to ask� on hybrid radio
  • �� � � �Christophe Pasquier (EBU) will show how visual radio can be used to exploit sports rights

Nowadays everyone wants radio anytime and everywhere without hassle. But how close to this reality are we? What barriers do broadcasters face when producing for radio? These are some of the main questions that will be raised intheradio everywheresession. Delegates will also have the opportunity to hear from EBU Members and the industry as they showcase their developments in ourproud-to-presentsession.
